Garden centers and plant nurseries sell annuals, perennials, shrubs, trees, vegetables and houseplants, along with soil, mulch, fertilizer, pots and tools. Independent nurseries often grow part of their own stock and carry varieties that do well in the local climate, while big-box garden departments compete on price for common plants. Wholesale nurseries and growers sell to landscapers and sometimes to the public at volume prices; tree nurseries sell balled-and-burlapped and container trees and can deliver and plant large specimens. Specialty growers focus on bonsai, cactus and succulents, orchids or native plants, and hydroponics stores sell lights, nutrients and systems for growing indoors.

Melbourne is in Florida, in the Southeast, where summers are long, hot and humid, winters are mild, and afternoon thunderstorms and the hurricane season from June to November can change plans at short notice. Getting around Melbourne is easiest by car; street parking is metered in busy downtown areas, and most suburban businesses have their own lot. Ride-share apps such as Uber and Lyft operate across Florida's larger cities, and public transit varies from extensive to minimal.

Amazing store! I’ve purchased so many plants here, even in just the last 6 months and they’ve all been great quality plants. I love the instructions on the labels. I adore the team that works there. They are always so helpful and knowledgeable. For a long time I only ever grew pothos, but I’ve expanded my plant collection so much since discovering this shop. I’m thankful for such a peaceful shopping experience and getting to browse so many plants! I even got ferns from this shop for my outdoor garden under my oak tree! I’ll always choose to shop here! Including a few of my favorite finds from Frida’s!

All the best looking plants in one place and guidance for their care included. I recommend joining their club so you can even get a free plant every month. This place also is owned and run by the most knowledgeable plant person I have ever met and she is also so, so helpful and kind!

Frida’s feels less like a shop and more like a little hidden garden you’re invited into! I’ve been part of their plant club for a few years now, and it still feels like Christmas every single month. There’s always something new waiting: uncommon varieties, plants with stories, little pieces of wonder you didn’t even know you were looking for. But what keeps me coming back isn’t just the plants—it’s the heart behind the place. The care is intentional, the knowledge is generous, and the welcome is so genuine it disarms you. It’s the kind of place where you’re known, where conversations linger, where it honestly feels like you’ve stepped into a room full of sisters. Frida’s has created something rare—a space where beauty grows, yes, but so does connection. And in a world that moves too fast, that kind of place is something truly special! 💛

Hands down the best place in Brevard to shop for plants.... Correction the best place in Brevard all around! Killer selection and prices and plants you won't find anywhere else locally. Plant Club day is my favorite day of the month as it's always something to look forward too and when you buy plants like we do, the discount alone with Plant Club is a huge bonus. Super friendly owner and staff. Can't drive by without stopping in! 💚

Amazing! Truly a unique paradise. The staff was super helpful, knowledgeable, and friendly. Everyone was so chill, and they seemed to have a personal relationship with a lot of the customers I saw coming and going while I was there. If you love plants, and plant people-you will feel at “home”🥰.
